Want to know where to get the best cocktails? Stay tuned and check back soon. I'll try to keep you posted on the constant  revolving door that is
The Restaurant Biz.

10/3/11:  Rumor has it that the owners of Neighborhood and Craft & Commerce are opening a ramen bar in Little Italy, taking over the spot where Red Velvet used to be! How nice it will be to have something other than Italian to chose from. I know, I know, it's Little Italy, but still... Now some might ask "What do the guys from C&C know about izakaya-style cuisine?" And that is a good question. Apparently, the owners took a trip to Tokyo to study the ramen scene there and hope to bring it back with a SD spin. At least they did some homework. I'll keep you posted on progress.

9/17/11:  Michael and Victoria McGeath, owners of the former Trattoria Acqua in La Jolla, announced plans for their new culinary concept Brooklyn Girl Eatery in Mission Hills which is slated to open doors winter 2011. I walk by this space at least 2x a week and have still yet to see any construction begin... Winter 2011 might turn into Spring 2012. I am eagerly anticipating this dining establishment as it will be nice to have some late night food options in the neighborhood. From their website: "Brooklyn Girl will be a casual, welcoming neighborhood eatery designed for community interaction, and built on the all-important principle of affordable, approachable cuisine made with fresh, local ingredients."  In addition to regular restaurant runnings, I am most excited about their promise of a "chef's pantry" offering daily selection of salads, pasta, sandwiches, pastries and prepared entrees to go. Dinner at home just got easier!
